This award will go to the Bingo operator that has consistently and decisively dominated the casino sector during the year. The judges will be looking for operators that have the vision, originality and vitality in this competitive and difficult Market place to set them apart from the others, the judges will be looking at not specifically size, but brand identity, marketing, customer service, innovation and use of new technologies.

 

Casino Equipment Supplier

The judging panel will evaluate the winner on originality, service, after sales support, market identity, value, catalogue and quality to decide the winner of this very competitive area.

 

Casino Interior Design

This award recognises the outstanding designs currently happening in the casino sector. The winner will be judged on originality, innovative style, customer wow factor, quality of materials used and customer environment friendly.

This award will go to the casino operator that has consistently and decisively dominated the casino sector during the year. The judges will be looking for operators that have the vision, originality and vitality in the crowded Market place to set them apart from the others, the judges will be looking at not specifically size but brand identity, marketing, customer service, innovation and use of new technologies.

 

Casino Restaurant

The judging panel will evaluate the winner on originality of design, atmosphere,
presentation of food, entertainment factor, service and hospitality are all part of the
equation that determines the eventual winner. Size of the restaurant is not a factor however the ambiance and presentation is the most important.

 

Customer Service/Support

This new and exciting award is in recognition of either the Manufacturer or Operator that can prove their Customer Support or Service is indeed the most effective and responsive in the sector. The judges will decide on factors such as training given, response times in support and customer assistance in Service. The winner will have shown that their company is indeed a leader in customer recognition, and values their service and support to them as a company core value.

 

Eco-Friendly Company 

This award recognises companies specifically manufacturer or operator that has taken into account the effect of the environment when running their business.
The winner will have taken a strategic, comprehensive and innovative approach to reducing waste and natural resource use. In a world where comprehensive and innovative approach to tackling climate change is needed.

 

Innovation Award 

The award recognizes a company that has successfully implemented a product or feature, which showed the most originality in 2008. The judges are looking for methods of maximizing revenue alongside new revenue-generating models, which will be of use to other manufacturers, operators or gaming public. The product must have been in operation, in a live environment for a least 1year to be considered.

 

Journal/Magazine Offline or Online

This category will reward the publication that has pushed the boundaries in above-the-line reporting, special feature highlighting and innovation to involve the reader more effectively into the publication. Special consideration will be given to successful portrayal of brand message and the media mix. The winner will not be dictated by the size of circulation, but by the quality and use of the media.    

 

Operator/Manufacturer Website

This award recognises outstanding design. Along with design, the judges will be looking at informative content, user friendliness, navigation, and originality. The award will not be decided solely on just technical presentation but more on content aiding the user to locate information easily.

 

Outstanding Contribution Award

A very special award that will be decided by the judging panel whether any nominations really do have what it takes to receive this very special selective award.
Any nominees and any eventual winner will have to show a continued and unending devotion to his/her or companies endeavours to strive for the best, and in doing so also prove that their efforts have helped others or indeed the whole gaming industry. An award that will not easily be won or indeed have many nominations – the test is on!

 

Slot Machine Game

This award will go to the Manufacturer that has shown the most innovative ability in designing the most stunning and exciting Machine Game in the Market. The judging will take into account, volume sales, originality and playability.

 

Slot Manufacturer

This award will go to the Slot Manufacturer that has consistently and decisively dominated the Slot sector during the year. The judges will be looking for Manufacturers that have the reach and scale to set them apart in this competitive market. The judges will be looking at originality, brand identity, marketing, usability and scale to make their assessment.

 

Socially Responsible Casino Operator of the Year

Here the judges will be rewarding the operator that has gone the extra mile in implementing procedures and safeguards for consumers. Among other issues, the judges will be assessing availability of problem gambling assistance, responsible gaming safeguards. Special consideration will be given to those operators that have campaigned for socially responsible gaming.

 

Technology Manufacturer

The category is open to any technology company that with a specific product, has shown originality, the ability to succeed in a highly competitive market, offered services to clients that have helped increase profitability or have helped working environments an easier and more productive place. The winner will not necessarily be the largest company but the most innovative in its sector and have volume sales matching its ambition.

 

Traditional Gaming Equipment Design

This award recognises the manufacturers efforts to bring to market a new and exciting design for traditional gaming equipment products. Both a new version on an old style or a completely original design, the award will be judged on how successful the equipment design has been in the market place and or on originality. Nominees in this category are accepted from the traditional gaming equipment industry.

 

   
 
Nomination Rules
·   18 awards will be presented in January 2009, as outlined on www.gaming-wards.com
·   The 18 awards will be judged according to the criteria for each category published at www.gaming-awards.com 
·   Companies and organisations may be short-listed for more than one award. 
·   Companies cannot be short-listed for an award they have sponsored. 
·   Following confirmation by the judges, GA Council , the shortlists for each award will be published prior to the Awards ceremony. The GA 2009 Secretariat will contact companies that have been short-listed. 
·   Once the shortlist is published by GA, companies that have made the shortlist may publicise this fact (including using the official GA logos) but can only do so under agreement with GA.
·   The winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony in January 2009 and not before. 
·   Winners may publicise that they are a winner of an GA Award (including using the official GA logos)
·   Copies of the licence are available on request before the Awards ceremony, and will be provided to each winner after the Awards Ceremony. .
·   The assessment criteria for each category can be found on www.gaming-awards.com
·   No entrant shall engage in any activity that may damage the integrity of ceremony. Any such actions shall be raised with the GA Council who will take any decision on disqualification. The GA Council's decision with respect to disqualification is final. 
·   An independent judging panel composed of knowledgeable observers of the Gaming sector will assess the nominees and choose the winners in each category. 
·   GA reserves the right to request further information about the service or product provided by entrants and to conduct spot checks if deemed necessary. 
·   Companies must register their intent to enter the awards and register their services and other requested information with GA via the online form linked to from www.gaming-awards.com Registration will close on the 8 November 2008

Companies wishing to be considered for a particular award should submit the relevant information in accordance with the instructions from GA secretariat.
