Deputy Chairman of The Ritz Hotel London and Executive Chairman of The Ritz Club, Andrew Love is a veteran of the hospitality and leisure industries.

Trained as a chartered accountant, he has been heavily involved in the leisure business since the 1960’s, holding various positions, including one that involved the opening of Sydney’s largest hotel at the time, before eventually ending up as the Managing Director of Ladbroke Group PLC, responsible for all overseas and UK development, having previously sold the business to Ladbroke.  In 1998, he became Chief Executive of The Ritz Club and in August 2004, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of The Ritz Hotel London.  He was appointed to his current post as Executive Chairman of The Ritz Club in 2008.

Throughout his career Andrew has been heavily involved in the leisure industry.  He has held several positions on the main board of leading casino and leisure groups including: City Clubs Limited, Leisure Investments Plc, Lebak Leisure Ltd, Suits Ltd, Coral Casinos [UK] Ltd, Mayfair Casinos Ltd and Pleasurama Ltd.

Andrew’s knowledge and experience has enabled him to make a significant contribution to the gaming and hospitality industry.  He is also Chairman of the Casino Operator’s Association, the independent owners association who have been involved in lobbying the government on the new casino bills.

Associations

Despite a heavy workload, Andrew is a tireless and generous fundraiser and is a member of several charitable committees, including CancerBacup and The Carers.  He is also a Trustee of the St. James Conservation Trust.

He was awarded the Royal Decoration of Companion [fourth class] of The Most Admirable Order of Direkgunabhorn from His Majesty The King of Thailand in recognition of his outstanding generosity to the people of Thailand.

Andrew Love believes in ethics, courtesy and respect, always in the hope that others will treat you the same.  His hobbies include golf, tennis and hunting.  His great passion in life is football especially Arsenal and horse racing. He was Master of the Aldenham Harriers and Past Master of his Livery Company, The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers.

He is married to Amanda; they have two children, Alexandra and Anthony (not forgetting Badger his Jack Russell) and live in Hertfordshire, England.
