Full Tilt Poker – Going going almost gone

| October 10, 2011

The iGaming Post has been informed that the potential purchase of Tiltware (Full Tilt Poker) by Groupe Bernard Tapie (BGT) is almost at an end, with certainly the conclusion being NO DEAL.

Bernard Tapie – Deal almost gone

In fact it is understood from reliable sources that it is the Full Tilt Poker Directors that have almost terminated this opportunity at any life being breathed into the once great brand.

The announcement of the “acquisition agreement” from BGT is almost 2 weeks old now, the terms of the agreement have still to be ratified by the board of Full Tilt Poker. Under its corporate structure, owners controlling more than two-thirds of the shares in Tiltware have to agree on the deal and no vote has yet taken place and no arrangements for the Board to meet are scheduled.

Is this the end?

With Full Tilt Poker´s CEO Ray Bitar busy trying to unfreeze his own personal assets, rather than focus on what happens to the company he saw destroyed, says too much for the future of the deal.

Indeed, few people know the whereabouts of Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer and the other members of the board for any deal to be struke with BGT. The Post has been informed by reliable contacts that FTP and BGT will certainly announce that no agreement is in place and BGT will walk away from Tiltware.

Some observers have questioned the motives of The Groupe Bernard Tapie for their involvement, citing a publicity stunt by BGT, knowing that no possible deal would ever be able to be resolved between Tiltware, The DOJ and themselves.

This really does look like the last dance for the Full Tilt Poker company.
