OLEG BOYKO’S PARALYMPIC BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Oleg Boyko has been actively supporting Paralympic sports since 2005, when Ritzio Holding (Oleg Boyko’s company) became a sponsor of the Russian Paralympic team. In 2006 at the 9th Winter Paralympics in Turin the Russian Team was ranked the first among national teams. In 2006 Oleg Boyko was nominated to head the Commission for Development of Russian Paralympic Movement in the Russian Paralympic Committee. Later, in 2007 Mr. Boyko established the International Parasport Foundation to support and promote Paralympic movement internationally.

PARASPORT
Mission

The Foundation, both in its role as a founding sponsor of the Paralympic Movement and through a variety of other fund-raising initiatives:

• Supports Paralympic athletes in their participation in sports and [social activities];
• Provides financial support directly to promising athletes;
• Stimulates public policy discussion and promotes sports among disabled individuals and groups;
• Helps to enact measures to advance the state of Paralympic sports in selected countries. 

Goals
To generate and provide a solid financial base needed to fund activities and programmes supporting international Paralympic movement and promoting Paralympic sports in the society.

Parasport strives to provide sufficient funding and charitable programs to Paralympic athletes, National Paralympic Committees and countries across the globe. Today the Foundation works to develop charitable programs in partnership with European and Asian National Paralympic Committees.
